LaBelle White House Press Reports

From Labelle White House EMD, Department Secretary D. Rindone is working around the clock to keep us informed about the latest developments as Hurricane Milton approaches. Here are essential safety measures to follow:

1. Stay Informed: Monitor local weather reports and updates from the National Hurricane Center. Sign up for emergency alerts.

2. Create an Emergency Plan: Identify a safe evacuation location and ensure all family members know the plan.

3. Build an Emergency Kit: Stock up on essentials like:

   - Non-perishable food and water (1 gallon per person per day for at least three days)

   - Flashlights and batteries

   - First aid supplies

   - Medications and hygiene items

   - Important documents (insurance, ID, medical info)

4. Secure Your Home:

   - Board up windows or use storm shutters.

   - Clear gutters and drains.

   - Secure outdoor furniture and other items that could become projectiles.

5. Prepare for Power Outages: Charge all devices, consider a portable charger, and have a generator ready if possible.

6. Know Evacuation Routes: Familiarize yourself with local evacuation routes and plan transportation.

7. Stay Connected: Ensure you have a way to communicate with family members if separated.

8. Follow Official Guidance: Listen to authorities regarding evacuations and safety measures.

Being prepared can make a significant difference in staying safe during the storm. Stay safe, everyone!
