"Safety Matter" & "Mask Up"

The Labelle White House and President.Daniel E.Santiago Jr want to remind everyone that this School year "Safety Matter" and "Mask UP" The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports most states and U.S. jurisdictions are seeing higher levels of COVID-19 spread by the highly contagious delta variant. For the first time since February, the number of cases in this country is averaging more than 100,000 per day. As of August 9, the U.S. has seen 35.8 million cases of the coronavirus and more than 616,000 people have passed away due to the virus since the pandemic began. The CDC recommends that everyone, vaccinated or not, wear masks in public indoor settings where the rate of COVID-19 transmission is high. Two of the worst areas are Florida and Louisiana which recently set seven-day case records. The CDC also reports the delta variant is extremely contagious and contributing to the increase of cases. The agency said vaccinated people can still develop COVID-19 but are less likely to get extremely ill or die than those who have not been vaccinated. The latest mask guidance also says those with a weakened immune system, age 65 or older, or with an underlying medical condition are at increased risk for severe disease should resume wearing masks. If someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease, or is unvaccinated, you should put your mask back on. If this applies to you or your household, you might choose to wear a mask regardless of the level of transmission in your area.
