At the SST Department, we take safety seriously — not just through presence, but through preparation. While many security patrol units operate without proper fire safety equipment, SST policy requires all vehicles to be equipped with essential gear, including fire extinguishers.

In the video below, you'll see SST Major Bryan Claros in action, quickly extinguishing a fire that was started by a homeless individual. A security guard from another agency was already on the scene but was unable to operate his extinguisher effectively.

But instead of pointing fingers, we stepped in to help — and teach.

After extinguishing the fire, Major Claros took the time to show the officer how to properly use a fire extinguisher, turning the moment into a teachable, professional exchange. That's the SST difference — rapid response, respectful partnership, and a deep commitment to the community.
